I am a Sommelier and I have the WSET Diploma Certification and I am an Official Trainer of Rioja, Marco de Jerez and Cava wines, endorsed by the respective Regulatory Councils. I collaborate with the DO of Navarra, among others, in training and promotion actions in the region.
I teach at the Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Bilbao and, among other projects, I have developed the training contents of the Bizkaia Txakoli Training School (Bizkaiko Txakolina Eskola).
I am currently in charge of content management and the design and development of training courses at Artean Drinks, combining this with consultancy for companies and the delivery of seminars, technical tastings, masterclasses and customised training courses.

David Martín García is an APP Development Manager for EMEA at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), the world’s leading provider of wine, spirits, beer and sake qualifications. With over a decade of experience working closely with WSET Approved Programme Providers (APPs) across Europe and the Middle East, David has played a key role in expanding access to world-class drinks education throughout the region.
He works in close collaboration with the hospitality, distribution and educational sectors, ensuring that WSET’s globally recognised qualifications are delivered with consistency, quality, and relevance to local markets. David also leads a strategic project to enhance the knowledge of WSET Certified Educators, partnering with regional experts and organising immersive study trips—such as the Cava Certified Educator and the recent Jumilla Certified Educator courses.
A passionate advocate for impactful and accessible drinks education, David brings deep industry insight, stakeholder engagement, and a forward-thinking approach to advancing learning across EMEA.
