We are thrilled to announce WSET School London's first-ever Diploma study trip to Spain, offering an unparalleled opportunity to explore two of the country’s most distinctive wine regions: the cool, Atlantic-influenced Rías Baixas DO, and the hot, high-altitude Jumilla DO in the southeast.

Event details

This is a one-of-a-kind chance to deepen your understanding of regional contrast, grape variety expression, and viticultural practice, all while engaging directly with top producers and experts on the ground. From Albariño to Monastrell, and much more in between, this immersive trip offers a powerful lens into the diversity and dynamism of Spanish wine today.

Travel information

  • Arrival: Make your way to Santiago de Compostela Airport or Porto Airport by 05:00 PM on Sunday 26 October for a group transfer to the hotel in Vigo
  • Departure: The trip ends with a group transfer to Alicante Airport on the morning of Saturday 01 November from Jumilla town

Provisional itinerary

  • 26 October: Arrival in Santiago de Compostela
  • 27–28 October: Visits and masterclasses in Rías Baixas DO
  • 29 October: Train transfer to Albacete
  • 30–31 October: Visits and masterclasses in Jumilla DO, concluding with a celebratory farewell dinner
  • 1 November: Morning transfer to Alicante Airport

Terms and conditions

  • This trip is exclusively available to current WSET School London Diploma students.
  • After your payment has been received, you'll receive an email to confirm your book request. We’ll then carry out a quick verification to ensure you're currently enrolled as a Diploma student at WSET School London. If it turns out you're not an active Diploma student with us, we’ll unfortunately need to cancel your booking and issue a refund.
  • The trip price does not include travel to and from Spain, airport transfers outside of our scheduled pick-up/drop-off times, or travel insurance.

Cancellations and transfers

  • You may cancel or transfer your booking within two weeks of the booking date and receive a full refund.
  • Requests made after two weeks will be considered on a case-by-case basis, up to one month before the trip start date. Refunds are not guaranteed.
  • Cancellations made within one month of the trip start date are non-refundable.
  • If you need to cancel, we’ll do our best to find a replacement for your spot. If successful, you’ll receive a full refund.
  • WSET School London reserves the right to cancel the event. In such cases, a full refund or transfer will be offered.
