Celebrate International Sherry Week with a beginner-friendly tasting of one of wine's most misunderstood categories.
Event details
From being namechecked by Shakespeare to the back of your nan's cabinet, Sherry has been on quite a journey – and made quite the comeback.
In this tasting, we'll explore the wine's turbulent history, uncover the intricate methods used to produce it, and sample a range of styles from fresh Finos to oxidised Oloroso and everything in between. We'll even mix up a Sherry cocktail and take a peek at the region's emerging unfortified wines.
Join educator and Sherry enthusiast Sera Svitlana Karamshuk DipWSET to experience the mind-bending flavours of this fortified wine and try your hand at creating gastronomic pairings with Spanish snacks from Spain and beyond.
This tasting is ideal for anyone curious to learn more about the wines of the region.
